Corrections policy
Last updated 1 November 2026
City News takes errors seriously and corrects them promptly and openly.
Reporting an error
Email hello@city-news.uk with the story's headline or address, what is wrong and, if you can, the correct information and its source. We review every request within one working day.
What we do
- Correction: a factual error is fixed and a note at the foot of the story says what changed and when.
- Update: new information that changes the story is added and marked as an update, with the date.
- Clarification: wording that was accurate but unclear or open to misreading is reworded, with a note.
- Removal: rarely, a story that is fundamentally wrong is withdrawn and replaced with a note explaining why.
We do not change published stories without saying so. Corrections are usually published within 24 hours of an error being confirmed.
